Artist of the month: Leslie Siegel

Leslie has been styling on and off for 14 years. She brings a love of art, design, movies, travel, and food to her work. Her style is relaxed, uncontrived, and real. Leslie has an imaginative, refined eye and brings a high level of focus to the things she brings to set. She is especially skilled and intuitively good at picking up on the intended look of the shoot and running with it. She likes thinking outside the box, mixing styles, being eclectic. Besides being a stylist, Leslie is a mother, a filmmaker, and her friends and family say, a pretty good cook.

Leslie specializes in tabletop, still life and interiors. A few of her clients include People, Redbook, Hopkins Media Group, Wiley Books, and Chronicle Books.

Artist of the Month: Karl Juengel

After starting his career in photography 14 years ago in Detroit, Karl Juengel made the leap and relocated to New York City. Soon after his move, Karl found himself employed as the staff photographer for Martha Stewart Living. After 5 years with Martha Stewart, Karl became a regular contributer to Town & Country, Real Simple, Body + Soul, Country Living, Natural Health, Redbook, O at Home, Shop Smart, Popular Mechanics and other magazines, as well as catalog and advertising clients.

Karl combines a no nonsense approach with a refreshingly simple aesthetic to create his images. “I really do try to keep it as simple as possible, I'm a big fan of -form follows function- design and I try to thread this into my photography as much as possible.”

Karl specializes in photographing interiors, food, and still life. A few of his current clients include Town & Country, Country Living, Food Network Magazine, and Real Simple.
