November's Artist of the Month: Alison Gootee
After receiving her BFA in Design and Photography from Louisiana State University, Alison attended Portfolio Center in Atlanta. It was while studying there that she discovered her love for still-life photography and spent hours learning how to make inanimate objects shine and hone her craft. Be it food or fashion, on location or in the studio, Alison brings her aesthetic sense, enthusiasm, and commitment to every shoot.
Alison lives in Williamsburg, Brooklyn with her boyfriend, Ted, and her dog, Lucy. A New Orleans native, she returns often to the Crescent City for family, inspiration, and oyster po-boys.
