Artist of the Month / Prop Stylist Alma Melendez
This month's featured artist is fairly new to our roster, but comes to us with years of experience under her belt. Alma Melendez grew up near the Atlantic in the Rockaways and is a New Yorker at heart. She graduated with a degree in screenwriting and began her prop and set styling career on independent films. Later she dabbled in video production for online media before falling in love with still life and finding her niche in commercial photography.
Her love of story telling combined with her visual aesthetic have led her to create sets, work on still life and tabletop, as well as lifestyle commissions. In the last seven years Alma has collaborated with a range of talented photographers; Ashton Worthington, Plamen Petkov, Charles Masters, Staudinger+Franke, and Jonathan Kantor, to name a few.
Alma specializes in a accessories, props, and cosmetic still life and has worked on several ad campaigns including Visa, Alize', MassMutal and Dell.

May Artist of the Month: Keller + Keller
Based in Boston and specializing in food, interiors and lifestyle photography, Keller + Keller has built a reputation for creating beautiful images.
Keller + Keller was formed in Boston 15 years ago. Amy and Joe met while in their second year at the New England School of Photography. In their first year together, Amy had a full time job as a fine art Iris printer while Joe photo assisted. Their first big break came from This Old House Magazine, where they were given a two day shoot for a story on building brick pathways. From then on they worked full-time as a team perfecting their style and approach to image making.
Seven years ago, their first child, Benjamin, was born. Five years later Amy made the bittersweet decision to be home everyday for Ben when he got off the bus. Though the decision would preclude her from going on shoots, the transition went smoothly. As a result of the years working with Amy; Joe has developed the unique ability to work effortlessly as part of a creative team while providing the leadership crucial to a successful shoot. Joe understands and respects the value each member of the team brings to a shoot.
A few of Keller + Keller's clients include Food & Wine, Better Homes & Gardens, Weldon Owen Publishing, Hannaford Fresh, Boston Magazine, and Cook's Country.
